By spring the covers had sprouted from her inactivity


Pull that duvet up to your nose

And snuff the lone candle out;

Winter is long and cold, my Rose–

Spring just a dream, no doubt.

Let the ivy thrive

And the holly grow;

Keep hope alive

Under the snow…
