Interlude: Isobel & the Fairie Queene
25 April, 2017 by katelaity
When Isobel met the Fairie Queene
To know the secrets she was keen;
But the Gentry have to test one first
To see if your skills are well rehearsed.
Isobel conjured a roe and a buck
A frog with a cart & a tearful duck.
The Lady herself clapped with fond delight
So they frolicked together until daylight.
Isobel left with a straw in hand,
‘Horse and Hattock!’ the repeated command.
When witches and fairies together dance,
Magic is always the circumstance.
Listen when you are abroad at night
For wondrous Terpsichorean rites.
